The IRREVERENT reluctant FUTURIST

I always see them. Two swans. Deep to the East, hidden in the mystic Ural taiga … never seen by man. Untouched in this numinous place is a pond … not to small, not too large. Quiet … always quiet … with the wind swishing the scent of truth through the spruce and white birch trees.

They are always there. I always see them. One Black. One White. They are the Forest’s Royal Swans of Father Russia. They remember when the old language came about, and they remember when the new “rus” language arrived from the west.

They have been there since the beginning. Catherine held them in her heart. Both Gregory Potemkin and Comte de Saint Germainknew their mystic purpose, honored their Power, and understood their deeply ancient connection to Catherine … the reasons for which I will not tell you … just now.

Though none would suggest this, for this poem I say it is so.

Putin, eye to fierce eye, will agree with me and say “Da!” as only the hugeness of Russia’s laughter can. Ask him. See what his heart knows.

The smallest of streams leads out. To the West, far, far away … almost lost below the horizon, are the onion domes of the Center.

The Black and the White Swans live here and watch with their ears pricked to the wind.

Why do farmer have guinea fowl … to warn the farm of encroaching danger to the hens from the sky’s hawks and to drive the dog to howl. Why do farms have swans … to fight off the Siberian tigers and Russia’s great bears.

It is only the Swan who is so feared that not even the elephant or rhinoceros or wolverine will give fight. No dog or wolf pack dares stay within the Royal Swan’s reach. That is why all the deep forests keep the Power alive and Tchaikovsky played their song.

Always I see the Swans of Black and White, standing guard with Father Russia. Always the Power is there. Always they are in my vision. Always it is my vision. Always guarding from the forest.

Always.

Russia, you are safe, for the Swans of Black and White say it is so.

I was also told about the personalities {Obama} that would arise out of this work – and their psychology and psychiatric profiles.
